Tagged items can be big and expensive, such as a tank or a compressor. This material is not necessarily delivered as one item. If you receive the individual parts of a tagged items, you can split the tagged item to track the individual parts separately.

Alternatively, if project default ZP_SPL_SI is set to Y, you can create supplementary items to a tagged item instead of splitting the item. Supplementary items are additional items along with an agreement, which have anyhow to be delivered, inspected, and shipped, but they are not part of the original agreement.

Supplementary items can only be created in the Expediting screen, not in Smart Materials Classic screens. To avoid data corruption, do not delete supplementary items in Smart Materials Classic screens.
