Click Registers on the project home page to open the Component Registers browser window.

On the Component Registers browser window, select a component register document.

Select Actions
> Constraint > New Constraint to create a new constraint related to the component register.

In the Constraint Request Form, select Status, Purpose, and Category.

Click Create.
You can relate a set of components to the same constraint request by either dragging
one or more components onto a constraint or selecting multiple components when creating
the constraint.

The ability to create and edit constraints is controlled by access group. For more information on the security requirements for constraints, see Configure security for constraint management.

When a new constraint is created and saved without being submitted, the status is set to Preliminary.
