  • When you add a drawing to a CWP, only the drawing is added. Components associated with the drawing are not added to the CWP. The work package content must be defined using content rules.

  • Relating drawings to CWPs is for indicating the drawings referenced by the CWP or in scope for the CWP.

  • Relating drawings to CWPs defines the scope for planning groups for relationships created through project configuration.

You can add one or more drawings to a CWP in several different ways. The added drawing details the work planned for the execution of the CWP.

  • Drag one or more drawings from the Drawings browser window or the Available Drawings browser to the Drawings section of a CWP.

  • Drag one or more drawings from the Drawings browser window to a CWP in the Work Packages browser in the Drawings browser window.

  • Drag one or more drawings from one CWP to another.

Your administrator can relate one or more drawings to a CWP when setting up your project data. Add the CWP in the Drawings tab of the project configuration workbook, and then import project data in the Import Project Data window. Use the Drawings browser window

  1. Click Work Packages on the project home page.

  2. Select a CWP from the Work Packages browser.

  3. Click Drawings on the open CWP.

  4. Open the Drawings browser in another window.

    You may need to resize your windows to view the open IWP and the Drawings browser window at the same time.

  5. Select one or more drawings from the Drawings browser window to add to the CWP.

  6. Drag the selected drawings to the Drawings section of the CWP.

Use the Available Drawings browser

  1. Click Work Packages on the project home page.

  2. Select a CWP from the Work Packages browser.

  3. Click Drawings on the open CWP. The Available Drawings browser is expanded on the bottom of the Drawings window.

    Right-click a drawing and click View and Print to open the drawing in SmartPlant Markup Plus. You can print the drawing from SmartPlant Markup Plus.

  4. Select one or more drawings from the Available Drawings browser.

  5. Drag the selected drawings to the Drawings section of the CWP.

Use the Work Packages browser on the Drawings browser window

  1. Click Drawings on the project home page to open the Drawings browser window.

  2. Click Expand to expand the Work Packages section at the bottom of the Drawings browser window.

  3. Select one or more drawings in the Drawings browser window.

  4. Drag the selected drawings to the target work package.
