The delivered rules include ten different possibilities for tee welds. Selector questions and the thickness of the bounded part are used to determine which items are valid. Additionally, the mounting angle of the bounded and bounding objects are considered when deciding which tee weld to place. The “Opening” created by the mounting angle is calculated as shown in the following illustration, with the Beta parameter indicating the mounting angle:
