Idents are built based on the geometric information of a commodity code. If the idents are not built because of any missing geometric information such as NPD, NPS, or Schedule, they are listed as missing idents. For example, if an NPD and schedule combination in the filter geometric is missing in the ident geometric, the same is listed in missing idents.
Missing idents are listed for the following scenarios:
-
Single size components:
For an NPS1 and SCH1 combination in the filter geometric, if there is no corresponding entry in ident geometric, the same is listed in missing idents.
For example:
-
For a 2(inch/mm) NPS 1 value in the filter geometric, there are two schedules S-STD and S-XS, as shown in the following figure:
-
The combination of (2, S-XS) is missing in the ident geometric as shown in the following figure:
-
Hence, the missing ident report shows the message as follows:
-
-
Reducing components:
For a NPD1 and NPD2 combination in the Nominal Reducer Details grid, if there is no corresponding entry in ident geometric, the same is listed in missing idents.
For example:
-
For NPD1 value 6(inch/mm), there are two reducer sizes 3 and 4.
-
The combination of 6, with the reducer size 3, S-STD is missing in the ident geometric, as shown in the following figure:
-
Hence, the missing ident report shows the message as follows:
-
To view missing idents:
-
Click SRD > XS20 Spec > XS2020 Spec Editor.
-
Select Spec Header/Spec Item from the list in the tree view.
-
Double-click a specification header, and click Components.
-
In the Spec Items grid, select a row.
-
Click Missing Idents .
-
In the Select Missing Idents dialog box, select one of the following:
-
Selected Spec Item - To display missing idents for the selected specification.
-
Complete Specification - To display missing idents for all the specifications listed for the component.
-
-
Click OK.
All the missing NPDs (nominal size) and Schedules, along with the reasons, are displayed for the selected specification.
