A short code is a name for a specific piping commodity. You can select and assign parts to these piping commodity (short codes) while creating specifications. After you have assigned a part to a short code, only that assigned part is used for that short code while creating specification. For example, the table below summarizes the various types of parts available for a piping component, sewage nipple. You can assign any part to it as end connection e.g. Sewage nipple with plain both ends.
