WRC 107 only addresses rectangular, square or round attachment shapes, but other shapes (such as support lug) can be modeled by converting to an equivalent rectangle which has:

Program uses this approach to convert the lug into an equivalent rectangle. This approach is referenced in WRC bulletin 198 by Dogde as, simple and direct, but is not derived by any mathematical or logical reasoning. So, very large or critical loads should, be examined in depth.
