Enter the axial force, not the force per unit circumferences as used by the Code (f1, f2). The software calculates the force per unit circumference before performing the calculation. Note that we have formulated the calculations so that a positive (tensile) axial force adds to the tension due to internal pressure, while a negative (compressive) axial force subtracts from the tension due to internal pressure.
