Enter the allowable stress intensity factor for combined membrane and bending stress at the pad edge. This factor is multiplied by the allowable stress f to obtain a maximum allowable stress for the membrane stress plus bending stress. These stresses are in rows 27, 28 and 29 in the printout samples in PD 5500 Annex G.
At the edge of the pad, this factor is normally 2.0.
