The following options are available:

Existing - Select this option if you already know the spring rate of the flanged/flued expansion joint.

Analyze - Select this option if you want the program to compute the spring rate of the expansion joint and stresses induced in the expansion joint. In addition, you must select Analyze to perform finite element analysis (FEA) on expansion joints.
