Enter the projection of the nozzle from the vessel wall to the nozzle flange. If there is no flange, enter the distance to the first elbow, valve, or anything that can be considered a stiffener. This value is used in two ways:

This length is used to compute the nozzle weight.

If the pressure entered is negative (vacuum) condition, the software uses this value for the length in the external pressure required thickness calculations.
