Part

The geometry to cut. A part consists of an outer profile and a count of the inner profiles. Profiles can be open or closed.

The Parts work area uses a flexible method to describe part geometry. Manual calculations are not needed because the software draws elements based on the relevant information obtained from the original machine drawing.

Profile

Consists of geometry elements (entities), including points, lines, circles, arcs, and splines. There are many ways to draw an element on the work area. An element must have a geometric constraint that defines the exact location or dimension, or defines the element's relationship to the existing geometry on the work area. The software draws the element based on the constraints. You can change the form of the element by defining new constraints or changing existing constraints. You must accept elements separately.
