Profile Multi-torch Cut Path creates a multi-torch cutting path for profile geometries with the same shape that are located in the Y direction along a line (that is, they have the same X coordinate). This command enables you to cut multiple torches at once for profiles (for example, holes).
Multi-torch Cut Path is on the Cut Profiles drop-down menu.
The tools of the frame are grouped as follows:
-
Tool.
-
Options.
-
Actions.
-
Used multi-torch parameters (figure below).
Tool
The group contains three sub-modes: Select Master, Distances, and Cut Path.
Select Master
The sub-mode for selecting master profiles selection. You activate a master profile by clicking it or selecting it in the activation box. N holes, which are supposed to be cut with the same burner arrangement, are usually selected in the X direction.
Distances
The sub-mode for defining multi-torch distances. You can activate N holes in the Y direction for the first profile selected in the previous using Select Master. Activation is possible by activating with activation box or by clicking.
Cut Path
The sub-mode for creating a multi-torch cut path. After you select the master and child profiles, you can create the multi-torch cut path.
Options
The group contains options that facilitate profile geometry activation. Select Inner or Outer (see the figure below).
Actions
The Actions group contains three actions: Create multi-torch pattern , Confirm Multi-torch pattern , and Remove selections .
Create Multi-torch pattern
Checks whether or not a multi-torch matrix can be formed, and whether there are matching profiles for all selected master profiles. Within a pattern, profiles must meet the "matching" condition: size, shape, and position in the X direction must be similar. Distances between burners can be different in the Y direction.
Confirm multi-torch pattern
Accepts the layout if the multi-torch pattern was successfully created, and creates a multi-torch cutting path. The master and child profile start points are on the master profile.
Remove selections
Clears the master profile selections in the Select Master sub-mode, the child profile selections in the Distances sub-mode, and the created multi-torch pattern in the Cut Path sub-mode.
Used multi-torch parameters
Contains a list of used multi-torch parameters that shows the multi-torch set number, the number of multi-torches, and the multi-torch distances (see the figure below). The list is not populated until the cutting path is created.
After the cutting path has been made, the list of the Used multi-torch parameters group will contain a line showing the multi-torch set number, the number of multi-torches and the multi-torch distances.
Deed order:
-
Click Cut Profiles and select Multi-torch Cut Path .
-
Click Select Master , and activate the master profiles by clicking it or by using the activation box or by clicking the profiles (see the figure below). N holes, which are supposed to be cut with the same burner arrangement, are usually selected in the X direction.
-
Click Distances and define the multi-torch distances. Activate the N holes in the Y direction for the first profile you selected using Select Master (see the figure below). Use the activation box or click to activate the selections.
-
Click Cut Path to activate Create Multi-torch pattern and Confirm Multi-torch pattern .
-
Click Create Multi-torch pattern to check whether or not a multi-torch matrix can be formed (see the figure below).
-
Click Confirm multi-torch pattern to accept the layout and create a multi-torch cutting path (see the figure below).
