Trim

Deletes sections of elements that are not required in the final drawing. The software cuts irrelevant sections from intersections.

Click Trim and point to an element in the work area. The cursor changes to a cross-hair, and the software activates the part of the element to delete. Click to trim the element.

Origin

Moves the work area origin to a new location.

Click Origin to display the coordinate properties in the State Manager. Type new coordinates, and then click Confirm to move the work area origin. Alternatively, drag the work area origin to a new location using the mouse.

X

Specifies the new origin point along the X-axis.

Y

Specifies the new origin point along the Y-axis.

Extend

Enables you to extend a line or an arc to connect it with another line or arc.

Click Extend and point to an element in the work area. The cursor changes to a cross-hair if the software can extend the element, and activates the element. Click to connect the elements.

The software extends the element from the point that is closest to the cross-hair.

Macro

Generates part geometry using a sequence of actions or commands that you name and store as a macro. When you run the macro, the software performs the actions or runs the commands. This command is useful if you frequently design complicated shapes. Macros use variables for element dimensions. Some macros contain dimensioning to help you verify the result. For information on macros delivered with Smart Production Cutting, see Delivered macros.

Click Macro to display a list of available macros in the State Manager. For more information, see Draw a macro.

Fillet_ICON Fillet

Enables you to make fillets and chamfers. You can also change a rounded or chamfered angle to an acute or obtuse angle.

Click Fillet Fillet_ICON to display the Sketch Fillet properties in the State Manager.

Default

Sets all of the parameters to their default values when you click Defaults > Get Parts Defaults.

Type

Contains the Fillet Fillet_ICON and Chamfer Chamfer_ICON commands. For more information, see Draw a fillet or chamfer.

Fillet_ICON Fillet

Displays parameters for defining a fillet. Type the fillet radius Fillet radius_ICON. Click Reversed to make a reversed fillet.

Chamfer_ICON Chamfer

Displays parameters for defining a chamfer. Type the corner distance Chamfer corner distance_ICON. Click Corner distance to add another corner distance parameter.

Offset_ICON Offset

Enables you to draw an offset. You define the offset distance, how the software draws the offset on angles and end points, and whether the offset applies to one or both sides of an element.

Click Offset Offset_ICON to display the Draw offset properties in the State Manager.

Default

Sets all of the parameters to their default values when you click Defaults > Get Parts Defaults.

Parameters

Contains parameters that define the offset.

Chamfer corner distance_ICON Offset distance

Specifies the offset distance.

Reverse

Places the offset on the other side of the element.

Bi-directional

Places the offset on both sides of the element.

Cap ends

Specifies how the software draws the offset on angles and end points. The available cap ends are Arcs and Lines.
