Cut Direction has two modes, Cut and Compensation. Cut mode enables you to change cut directions individually or based on a condition. For example, you can change all outer profiles to a counterclockwise direction as a group. Compensation mode enables you to change compensation directions.

Click Cut Direction Cut Direction ICON to display properties for cut directions and compensations in the State Manager.

Cut Direction

Enables you to change cut directions of single profiles by clicking the profile in the work area, and then using Set Profile Direction and Change Direction as necessary.

The software uses the Machining mode filter to select which profile types are affected by a cut direction change. Select from the following filters: Basic cutting, Marking line, Marking point, Nibbling, and Painting. Use the CTRL and SHIFT keys to select multiple profile types.

Set Profile Direction

Displays the Set Direction properties (see below) in the State Manager. Select Outer Profiles or Inner Profile, and then select the direction from the corresponding drop-down list. Click Set.

Outer Profiles

Activates the drop-down list of options to apply to the outer profiles.

Inner Profiles

Activates the drop-down list of options to apply to the inner profiles.

Set

Applies the new cut directions.

Change Direction

Displays the Change Direction properties (see below) in the State Manager. Select Open Profiles or Closed Profiles, and then click Change.

You can also change the cut direction for a single profile by clicking a new start location in the work area. You must be in Cut Direction mode to use this method.

Compensation

Changes the direction of specific compensations.

To change direction of compensation, click Compensation mode, and then click a profile in the work area. The software applies the change. You can change compensation regardless of whether you created a cutting path.
