To copy the requisition setup data from an existing project (source/template) to the new project (target), you can use this page.
-
On the Home page, click Requisitions > Copy Requisitions
-
Select the project name in the Copy from Project cell from the list.
If you choose your own project, it is not possible to choose the same disciplines for origin and target.
-
Select the appropriate check boxes to indicate which setup data you wish to copy to the project you are working with. For example, select the Requisition Status check box to indicate that all requisition status that have been defined in the project are to be copied and so forth.
-
To copy data for the Disposition Rule Details, you must select this check box in combination with selecting the check boxes for Disposition Rule Sets and Disposition Rules.
-
To copy the data for Document Type Sets, you must select this check box in combination with selecting the check box for Document Types.
-
If you want to copy Requisition Templates, ensure that you have selected the check boxes for Requisition Number Rules, Requisition Description Rules, and Requisition Nodes, or that the data for these are already present in the target project. Requisition templates is not created if this information is missing in the target project.
-
Copying the requisition templates involves taking over all order criteria, all properties to summarize, and all group-by criteria. But only those summary and group-by properties are copied that have been defined in the product group.
-
For all data for that language dependent descriptions exist these descriptions are copied as well.
-
Project defaults are not copied by the procedure. You should check whether the values are set correctly.
-
-
Select the radio button for Discipline, All Disciplines and Login Discipline to indicated for which disciplines the selected objects are to be copied.
-
To start copying, click the Start button.
-
Select All Disciplines to copy data from all disciplines that are assigned to the target.
-

-
-
Click Start.
-
You can press the Start button multiple times. For example, you might like to copy the requisition buy cycles from project A but the requisition categories from project B. Then you use the Start button twice: Once with project A and checking the checkbox for requisition buy cycles and once with project B and checking the checkbox for requisition categories.
-
If some setup data were not copied because the tables already contained data, you can delete these data (if they are no longer relevant) in the corresponding module and then start the copy procedure again.
-
After the completion of the copy process, and after confirmation of a message, the Show Log File dialog opens, where you can see the name and content of the log file of the copy process. This allows you to see if the result of the copy process is as you expected or if perhaps no data were copied because data are already present in some of the involved tables.
-
If you need to take another look at this log file after you have closed the Show Log File dialog, you have to open the log file from the file system. The log file name starts with CRS_ followed by a sequential number. The file extension is .log. The file can be found in the directory defined by DBA setting LOG_FILE_DEST.
