VDR1

  1. On the Home page, click Other Tasks > Vendor Data Requirements.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Type the name in the VDR cell.

    The VDR revision is auto-displayed in the Revision cell.

  4. Optionally, do the following,

    1. Select the distribution category from the Distribution Category list.

    2. To mark this VDR as required for document management, select Yes or No in the Required cell.

    3. To define the default traffic document, select Yes or No in the Traffic VDR cell.

    4. To specify who is expected to deliver the document, select Supplier or Freight Forwarder in the Expected From cell.

    5. To define which packing lists (PLs)/preliminary packing lists (PPLs) the document should be assigned to, select HLO Only or Hazardous in the VDR Type cell.

    6. Select HLO Only if the document should be assigned only to PLs/PPLs that contain at least one heavy load object (HLO) package item. Select Hazardous if the document should be assigned only to PLs/PPLs that contain at least one hazardous package item.

    7. To allow the freight forwarder to view supplier's document, select Yes in the FF Access cell. Otherwise, select No.

    8. Type the number of copies to be delivered from the supplier in the First Issue Copies cell.

    9. Type the number of days, weeks, or months in which the documents are needed in the Scheduled cell.

    10. Select Days, Weeks or Months in the Period cell.

    11. Select the Event from the list.

      SHARED Tip The available values for Event are:

      • After order

      • Before delivery

      • For construction

      • With delivery

      • After erection

      • Date of order

      • Date of approval

      • Date of dispatch

      • Date of mechanical completion

    12. Select Issued for Review or For Information in the Purpose cell.

    13. Type the number of copies to be delivered with the final issue from the supplier in the Final Issue Copies cell.

  • Type appropriate values in the With Tender Period, With Tender Event, For Approval Period, For Approval Event, For Approval Schedule, Final Period, Final Event, Final Schedule, As Built Period, As Built Event, and the As Built Schedule cells.

  1. Click Save.

  2. Click Revision to create a revision of the VDR. This action locks the previous revision of the VDR.

    This button is enabled only for the highest revision of a VDR.
