  1. From the Home page, click Bill of Materials > Flat Configurations.

  2. In the Flat Configurations section, click the appropriate flat configuration from the Configuration Name cell to view the Flat Configuration Items page.

You can edit the name of the flat configuration name by double-clicking on the Configuration Name cell.

  3. Click Add Row.

  4. Enter a number in the Sequence cell.

When you add a new row, the Sequence column will automatically populate a row number for that row. You can then update the value appropriately.

  5. In the Items cell, choose the appropriate item type of the column in the CSV-file from the select list.

  6. In the Value cell, chose the appropriate value of the item from the select list.

  7. Enter the optional default value of the item in the Default cell.

If a value is entered in the Default cell, it is applied to records where a value for issue status is missing.

  8. Enter a comment in the for the item in the Comment cell to explain the purpose of the item.

  9. Select Yes or No in the Consider Delta cell to define whether the column must be considered for a delta check with the previous BOM import via flat configuration.

  • Click the Resequence button to rebuild the sequence order after you have deleted records that have caused gaps in the sequence.

  • Click the Validate button to check if all items are valid when the mapping is complete and all configuration items are entered. If not, a message appears, informing you about discrepancies and how to correct them. Some columns are mandatory and must be entered. There must be nodes without gaps, node values and with exactly one item and properties. If any of these elements is missing, you will be prompted about the necessary action to solve it.

  • Click the Reset button, to delete all internal temporary data and backups of the flat configuration import concerning the actual configuration. This action does NOT delete any imported BOM.
