The account code structure is only of interest and used if you are working with the accounting module. That is, the project default ZJ_USE_AC is set to Y. This account code structure is also used in the 'Get Account Code' procedure that is called by the MTO job. You can define the structure of the account codes used for requisition line items on the Requisition Accounts page, for agreement line items on the Accounts page, and for attached other costs on the Other Cost Accounts page.

1Account Code Structures

  1. On the Home page, click Other Tasks > Account Code Structures.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. In the Account Code Structure block, do the following:

    1. Select the Structure from the list.

    2. Select Yes or No in the Fixed cell to indicate if the definition of the structure is fixed.

    3. If the structure is fixed, then type the fixed length format for the structure in the Filler Character cell.

    4. Type the descriptions in the Short Description and Description cells.

  4. In the Account Code Structure Details tab, click Add Row and do the following:

    1. Type a code in the Seq cell.

    2. Select the type of the structure element in the Structure Type cell.

      The available options are Property, Node, Tag and Separator.

    3. Depending on the Structure Type selected, select appropriate values for Property, Node or Separator from their respective lists.

    4. Select Yes or No in the Required cell to indicate if the value for the structure element is required or not.

    5. Enter the length of the structure element in the Length cell.

      This is required where the structure is defined as fixed.

    6. If Separator is selected as the Structure Type, define a separator in the Separator Text cell.

  5. To create an account code manually, in the Account Code tab, click Add Row and do the following:

    1. Click Add Row and then type a code in the Account Code cell.

      • If left empty, the value of this field will be derived from the element fields.

      • The Structure Type determines what kind of select list is available for entering as well as the values in the Undefined cells.

    2. Type the descriptions in the Short Description and Description cells.

  6. Click Save.
