  1. On the Home page, click Site > Fab Tracking > Maintain Fab Tracking.

  2. Click Add Fabrication Type.

  3. In the Fabrication Type tab, do the following:

    1. Type the Fabrication Type and the maximum number of revisions allowed in the Max Revisions box.

    2. Enter the descriptions in the Short Description and Description box.

    3. Select the Calculation Method from the drop-down list.

      Available values are Up to Highest Step with Date and Only Steps with Date.

    4. Select a Routing Method from the list to indicate how items will be delivered from the shop to the site.

    5. Select a Where Condition from the list and click Save.

  4. In the Fabrication Type Properties section, do the following:

    1. Click Add Row to add the fabrication type properties.

    2. Type a sequence number in the Seq cell.

    3. Select a Property from the list.

    4. Type the hint text in the Hint Text cell.

    5. Select a Ref BOM Property from the list.

    6. Type a Ref Hint Text

    7. Enter the Weight Factor and click Save.

    • Only records with Property type 'Date' can be updated.

    • Depending on the Weight Factor, the contribution percentage changes.

  5. Click Fab Items/Values tab and do the following:

    1. Click Add Row to add the fabrication items or values to it.

    2. Select a Tag Number from the list.

    3. Enter the Weight Factor and click Save.

    4. Click Load BOM Items to copy all the needed line items from BOM to fabrication tracking.

    5. Click Update Cancellations to update all the fabrication items and cancel those items that are no more in the BOM.

    6. Click Delete Inconsistent Tags to delete queried fabrication items which are inconsistent with the where condition.

    7. Click Properties to attach the properties. Properties and Property Set can be assigned to objects such as engineering requisitions, inquiries or purchase orders.You can also add properties by doing the following:

      1. Click Add Row.

      2. Select Group and Property from the list and Save.

      3. Click Add Property Set to attach detail properties which can be later attached for engineering requisitions.

      4. Select a Property Set from the list and click Copy.

    8. Click Best Reference Date to display the latest date of the fabrication item based on its tag number.

    9. Click Execute CIP to

    10. To add properties and CIPs, click Display Columns and do the following:

      1. In the Display Columns window, click Display Properties, select the appropriate property and click Save.

      2. In the Display Columns window, click Display CIPs, select the appropriate CIP and click Save.

        In the Display Column Window, only 15 CIPs and 15 Properties are included.
