Modify Selection enables you to edit properties for multiple objects of the same type or belonging to the same parent system. Selecting multiple objects of different types or belonging to different parent systems enables you to move and rotate the objects in the select set. The Modify Selection Controls display when you select multiple objects. See Select in the View Manipulation Toolbar for information about the different methods for selecting multiple objects.
The Modify Selection controls depend on the objects in your select set. Modify Selection displays the following controls when you select objects of the same type in the same Parent System.

The Parent System box displays Mixed Values and is read-only if the select set contains the same object types from different parent systems.

The Name box displays Mixed Values and is read-only if the select set contains different object types.

The Modify Selection dialog displays a padlock in the title bar if the select set contains locked objects. You can change the Approval State of a locked object to Working if you have Write permissions for that object. Alternatively, select Remove All to remove the locked objects from your select set.

A To Do List indicator displays at the top right of the Modify Selection dialog when you select one or more objects that are on the To Do List. The icons that display are the same icons used in the To Do List Dialog (SHIFT + T). Select the icon on the Modify dialog to open the To Do List Dialog (SHIFT + T) and make the necessary corrections.
Error
Indicates a serious problem.
Warning
Indicates a problem that might not be serious, but still needs to be checked.

The Remove All button is available in the Move and Rotate controls.

Add or remove items from the select set using the Modify Selection Controls .

You can modify object properties in the command view or in the Properties View.

Move , Rotate , Copy by Base Point , Paste , and Mirror Copy open separate dialogs.
