Route selection commands on the shortcut menu allow you to select a section of a route network to modify. These commands simplify the selection of a specific section of a network. For example, if you want to modify a leg along with its supports, select the leg using On Same Leg, and add the hangers supporting the leg using Get Connected Supports. If you select multiple parts that belong to different part types (piping component and piping instrument for example), then the route selection commands are not available.

Depending on the active Locate Filter, different route selection commands are available.

Get Features

If you have the Locate Filter set to Piping Parts, then Get Features selects the parent feature of the selected part or parts.

If you have the Locate Filter set to Pipe Runs, then Get Features selects all the features in the selected run.

If you have the Locate Filter set to Piping Features, then Get Features contains a group of subcommands to select a targeted route network. The Get Features commands apply to features that are in the select set and are defined in the Workspace. You can select one or more features on the network. You can also combine the following subcommands to extend the targeted network as necessary.

On Same Run

Selects all features that belong to the same run even if the run is discontinued.
