Displays the catalog associated with your model. Move through the hierarchy to find the objects you need or type the name of the object in the Search box.
Select objects in the catalog, and then click OK to place those objects in your model.
Previous
Displays the previous node in your browsing path. This option is only available if the selected node is not the first node in the sequence.
Next
Displays the next node in your browsing path. This option is only available if the selected node is not the last node in the sequence.
Bread crumbs
Specifies the path that you have taken through the hierarchy.

Click a node to return to that level in the hierarchy.

Click next to a node to display the children of that node.

Click at the end of the path to display a list of recent paths.
Search
Specifies the name of the object to find. You can use the wildcard characters * or ? to find items whose names contain part of the text that you type. For example:

Type *pump* to find any items with pump included anywhere in the name.

Type *pump to find items that end in pump.
-
Type pump* to find items that begin with pump.
-
Type pump? to find pump1, pump2, and pumpX.
Large Icons
Displays the objects as large icons.
List
Displays the objects in a simple list format.
Details
Displays the object details in a spreadsheet format. You can define Boolean operations on the categories to organize the objects. Click the filter in the column header to narrow the list of objects. You can also drag column headers to the space above the spreadsheet to group the objects by the selected column. For example, if you group by the Part Class Name column, you can select an object based on the part class associated with the object. If you also select to group by Part Class Type, you can view the objects based on the part class name, and then based on the part class type. Drag the columns back to the spreadsheet to ungroup the filters.
Properties
Displays the Properties view for the selected object.
/ Show Preview/Hide Preview
Displays a preview of the selected object.
Quick access
Specifies shortcut links to items you use frequently.

Click an item to display that item.

Right-click an item and select Remove to delete it from the Quick Access list.
Context Menu
Smart 3Dx provides a menu of commands appropriate to the current location of your cursor. To display this menu, right-click.
If you right-click a node that isn't selected, the software checks to see if the node matches the active filter. If it matches, Smart 3Dx selects the node, clearing any previous selection. To display the context menu for the unselected node without changing the current selection, press CTRL as you right-click. For more information on setting the filter, see Set the active filter.
Expand
Opens the highlighted node.
Collapse
Closes the highlighted node.
Add quick access item
Adds a link to the highlighted item to the Quick access list.
Remove quick access item
Deletes the highlighted item from the Quick access list.
