If the boundaries that you selected can form the slab in more than one way, then you have defined an ambiguous boundary set. The software prompts you to select one or more bounded areas to clarify the required slab boundary.
In this example, the following boundaries have been selected.
-
Select Accept to confirm these boundaries.
Because there are multiple ways to place the slab using these boundaries, the software highlights all the possible patches that can be used to place the slab.
-
Move the cursor over the patches and select to select the patches to use to create the slab.
The selected area highlights in yellow.
-
Continue to select bounded areas until you have defined the entire bounded area that you want. A correct solution to ambiguity meets these conditions:
Each bounded area must have a common edge with at least one other bounded area.
Each boundary must be used by at least one bounded area.
When enough patches that use each boundary have been selected, the Finish commands becomes available.
-
Complete the placement:
-
Select Finish or press CTRL + ENTER to save your changes and exit the command.
-
Select Finish and Modify or press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then start the modification of that object.
-
Select Finish and Repeat or press SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then restart the command using the same options.
