Modify Selection_Copy and paste pump system by base point AGIF

  1. Select Home Tab > Copy By Base Point to copy the selected objects to the Clipboard.

  2. Select the base point in the view, and then select Paste (CTRL + V) Com_Paste to display the Paste Controls.

A wireframe of the selected objects is attached to the cursor.

    Modify Selection_Paste DIALOG

  3. Paste To Point Com_Target ICON is the default mode. Select a point in the view to place a wireframe of the copied objects.

The software shows the selected reference point, and then the distance to the placement point. The example below shows a pump system being placed.

    Modify Selection_Paste

Or, click Advanced Paste Options > Paste in Place to put the copied objects at the same coordinates as the original objects.

You can click Show in Clipboard Com_Eye_Show to see an isolated view of the selected objects being copied.

    • You can select any reference point to use to later position the pasted objects. For example, you can click a coordinate system, a control point on a piece of equipment, or use Precision Input Precision Input ICON to specify the coordinates.

    • Some logical objects, such as systems and pipelines, do not prompt you for a placement point. In these cases, Paste performs a Paste in place.

  4. Review the listed Required Relationships. To change a relationship, point to a relationship and select Edit . Select a relationship in the Workspace Explorer.

  5. Under Advanced Paste Options:

    • Select Keep original permission groups to assign all copied objects to the original permission groups.

    • Review any Optional Required Relationships. You can Edit relationships or select Delete All to remove all optional relationships.

  6. Complete the placement:

Select Finish or press CTRL + ENTER to save your changes and exit the command.

Select Finish and Repeat Finish Repeat ICON or press SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes and then restart the command using the same options.

  7. You can now select the new objects, and then rename and modify them as required.
