You can change the default shortcuts or define alternative shortcuts using the Customizations Tab (Options Dialog).

Hierarchy Explorers Keyboard Shortcuts

Up Key Moves up one level

Shift KeyUp Key Adds the node above to the select set if the node passes the active filter. This behavior is similar to pressing SHIFT and clicking with the mouse.

Down Key Moves down one level

Shift KeyDown Key Adds the node below to the select set if the node passes the active filter. This behavior is similar to pressing SHIFT and clicking with the mouse.

Right Key Expands the node to display all children if the node is expandable.

Left Key Collapses the node if the node is collapsible. Moves to the parent if the current item is a child. Press LEFT ARROW again to move up the hierarchy another level.

Space Key Clears the select set. Selects the current node if the node passes the active filter.

CTRL KeySpace Key Adds the current node to the select set if the node passes the active filter.

Plus Key Expands the node to display all children if the node is expandable.

Minus Key Collapses the node if the node is collapsible.

Asterk Key Expands all nodes under the selected nodes.

/ - Collapses all of the child nodes under the selected node.

Equipment Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts are not available when a control is active. You must select a blank space in the control panel and press G to set focus to the active graphic view.

Right Key Rotates the shape 90 degrees counter-clockwise about the active axis. In the example below, the z-axis is the active axis.

Equip Right Arrow Shortcut

Left Key Rotates the shape 90 degrees clockwise about the active axis. In the example below, the z-axis is the active axis.

Equip Left Arrow Shortcut

Up Key Changes the axis of rotation. For example, if the active axis is x-axis and you press the keyboard up arrow, the active axis changes to the y-axis. Press up arrow again and the active axis changes to the z-axis. Press again and you are back to the x-axis.

Down Key Changes the active control point or coordinate system location. Each equipment symbol has different locations defined.

Equip Down Arrow Shortcut

CTRL KeyDown Key Places the shape at the next control point on the reference shape.

CTRL KeyLeft Key Rotates the shape clockwise on step about the X-axis.

CTRL KeyShift KeyLeft Key Rotates the shape counter-clockwise one step about the X-axis.

CTRL KeyUp Key Rotates the shape clockwise one step about the Y-axis.

CTRL KeyShift KeyUp Key Rotates the shape counter-clockwise one step about the Y-axis.

CTRL KeyRight Key Rotates the shape clockwise one step about the Z-axis.

CTRL KeyShift KeyRight Key Rotates the shape counter-clockwise one step about the Z-axis.
