Mouse Icon Tools Tab > S3D_ModelData_Reuse

The Model Data Reuse (MDR) command copies large amounts of 3D model data in a robust, scalable, and intelligent way. No interaction with objects is required. The software breaks down the copy set into multiple transactions. In the event of a failure, the process continues to copy the remainder of the objects when the software is restarted.

This command can copy objects only within the same model. Use the Tools > Model Data Reuse in Project Management if you want to copy objects across models.

  • When you attempt to use this command, the software performs two verification checks:

    1. A permission group named MDRMDT PG exists in the Project Management hierarchy.

    2. Your level of access to MDRMDT PG is set to Full Control.

  • If either of the conditions listed below exists, the command is not available. In these instances, you must contact your project administrator to gain access to the command.

    • Your level of access to MDRMDT PG is set to Read access or Write access.

    • The MDRMDT PG permission group does not exist.
