Edit > Find Differences
Compares two versions of the same source model data using two or more .vue files in an .svf project. Smart Review looks at each graphic object linkage ID in the project .vue files to locate differences in linkages, ranges, geometry definitions, and properties. You can see what has been added, removed, and changed in the source model data. The Find Differences command compares only the graphic objects with the same linkage ID in the .vue files. If two graphic objects in the .vue files being compared do not have the same linkage ID, then the software does not consider the graphic objects as the same and does not compare the objects for Find Differences.
The Find Differences command becomes available when you have at least two .vue files loaded. When you run Find Differences, the results are represented as display sets under the Display Set > Find Differences folder in the Project Manager. You can then use commands in the Project Manager to manipulate the display so that you can analyze the changes.
To use Find Differences, create the .svf project containing the .vue files to compare, run the command, and then review results in the Project Manager. You can use display set commands to customize the appearance of the display sets to meet your comparison requirements. In addition to showing what has been added and removed, Find Differences provides the following options that further determine the scope of the analysis:
Ranges
Finds differences in ranges of objects (moved or resized).
Geometry
Finds differences in geometry definitions of objects, which are changes such as length, rotation, and type, to name a few.
Properties
Finds differences in object properties and property values. The software compares only properties for graphics that have the same linkages. This option only supports comparison of two .vue files in the .svf project.
