This section describes the work environment and the commonly used interface elements.

Tablet mode

Presents a full-screen, simplified view of Smart Review with commonly used commands for navigation and model object analysis. For more information, see Use Tablet Mode for Quick Reviews.

Main view

Serves as the primary working view and is always displayed, unless the Single View Layout option is turned on and the view is switched from the Main view. For more information on changing what and how objects display in the Main view, see Main Command.

3D Navigator

Provides navigation controls for eye point motion through your model using gaming-style navigation techniques. You can quickly explore all objects and spaces to get a better understanding of the model design. You can use 3D Navigation or the classic navigation controls to walk through a model. For more information, see Using 3D Navigation. For information on the classic navigation, see Classic Navigation.

Plan view

Displays an overview of the area or location in which you are working, your position, and a view cone. To turn the Plan view on or off, use the Window > Plan. See Plan Command.

Text view

Displays information appropriate to the current command context, such as, but not limited to, the text for the active comment, label search data, measurement data, and component attribute data. To turn the Text view on or off, use the Window > Text. See Text Command.

Elevation view

Displays an overview of the area or location in which you are working, your position, and a view cone. The elevation view displays the front view of the model and appears only in wireframe. See Elevation Command.

For more information on re-organizing the view windows, see Commands for Arranging the View.
