The Map View screen provides EAM Mobile for Transit app users the ability to view and interact with work order and equipment features on a map-based interface within the mobile application.

On the Map View screen, users can view the location of existing work orders in relation to other work orders, and in relation to the user’s location. Users can interactively access details about work orders, equipment, additional GIS features and nonconformities directly on the Map View screen. This screen also provides users the ability to enter closing details for work orders and to complete work order records. On the Map View screen, users can also create new map features and related EAM equipment that is then synchronized to the HxGN EAM base application.

Finally, the users can make edits to existing feature geometry and GIS attribute-data on the Map View screen.

By default, the EAM Mobile for Transit app downloads work orders meeting any of the following criteria:

  • Work order is assigned to the employee associated to the logged-on user via the Assigned To field on the Work Order record view.

  • Any of the work order activities have a schedule labor record for the employee associated to the logged-in user via the Schedule Labor tab for Work Order screen.

  • Any of the work order activities have a dispatch labor record for the employee associated to the logged-in user via the Dispatch Labor tab for Work Order screen (i.e. dispatch labor records are created/edited on the GIS Map WO Dispatching screen).

  • Any of the work order activities have a dispatch labor record for the Crew of the employee associated to the logged-in user via the Dispatch Labor tab for Work Order screen. The employee must have the "Determines Crew Location for Dispatching" checkbox selected on the Employee screen for the work order to be downloaded in this case.
