The I Am Here functionality can be used if the mobile device does not have access to a GPS signal (i.e. if Location Services are disabled, or if the device’s physical location inhibits access to GPS satellite). Under these conditions, the Find My Location icon will change state to indicate that the I Am Here feature can be used.

When a user clicks the I Am Here icon, the icon will change appearance and the user can then click on the map to indicate their current location. The application will place an indicator on the map to show the user’s current location; and the map will zoom into an extent which is based on the user’s location.

The Find My Location functionality can be used if the mobile device has access to a GPS signal (i.e. if Location Services is enabled and the mobile device can access GPS satellite signals). In this scenario, when a user presses the Find My Location icon, the icon will change appearance to show that the functionality is enabled. The application will place an indicator (blue circle) on the map to show the current location of the user.

If the user long presses on the Find My Location icon once it is enabled, the system will display a radius slider to allow the user to specify a radius around them for which they are interested in viewing work orders. As the radius around the user is changed the system will only display work order icons that are within the specified radius. As the user’s location changes work orders will automatically be displayed as they fall within the radius.
