From Update 38, SDx does not use Smart Converter control object and SPFHotspotter.ini
file attached to it for extracting and navigating to tags. Instead, the Data Capture
Drawing Reader Pre-Processor uses the Intergraph Smart Sketch for processing the content
and navigating to it.
The following applies if you are using a version of the software before Update 38. For the latest information, see Run a content discovery task to extract tag data from drawings.
Copy the SPFHotSpotter.ini file from the Data Capture sample data to [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\SDX\SPFSmartConverter folder before you begin extracting content and tags from drawing files with the SmartConverter.
