This functionality was removed in Update 36 and SmartPlant Markup Plus Server 2019 SP 2.

Problem

PDF generation fails for documents attached to a workflow.

Common Causes

You might encounter this problem if either of the following are true:

1. The connector attributes are improperly set.

2. An alternate rendition file type is not defined for the file type.

PDFs are only created for supported file types.

Solution 1

Refer to the following to make sure the connector attributes are properly set:

• Set connector attributes to personal information exchange file (PFX) (retired)

Solution 2

Create a relationship definition between the file type and the alternate rendition file type. For more information, see Create a SPFFileTypeFileType relationship definition.
