Install Smart Materials Database - Intergraph Smart Materials - Version 2020 (10.0) - Installation & Upgrade - Hexagon

You can find the scripts in the %SMAT_DB_InstallFolder%/fresh10/ directory. To install an initial Smart Materials database, proceed as follows:

1. Login with the local administrator account.

2. Open a Command Prompt window as an administrator.

3. Go to the %SMAT_DB_InstallFolder%/fresh10 folder.

4. Launch a SQL Plus session.

5. Connect to the target database as SYS.

6. Run fresh_install.sql and follow the displayed instructions.

7. Press ENTER.

8. Press ENTER.

9. Type your <SID>, and press ENTER.

10. Type the SYS password, and press ENTER.

11. Press ENTER to begin importing data.

12. Continue pressing any key on the following screens until all data is imported.

13. Press any key to continue.

14. Check the import log files for errors, and press ENTER when you have successfully performed the import.

    The script loads the Java classes.

    

15. Leave the SQL*Plus session by typing exit and pressing ENTER.

16. Check the log files for errors during installation.

    The files are located in the installation folder. It is a best practice to keep these log files for later analysis. Therefore, we recommend that you do not use the same upgrade directory twice in order to not overwrite existing log files by newer upgrades on different databases.

17. Optionally, you can create pre-defined setup data for Smart 3D, CADWORX and PDMS as described in Smart 3D Data, CADWORX Data, and PDMS Data.
