You can skip this chapter if the License Webservice is installed on the same machine as other Smart Materials or Smart Reference Data products, and the IIS configuration is already done.

  1. Open the Windows 2016 Server Manager.

  2. Select Local Server.

  3. Select Add Roles and Features from the Tasks list to launch the Add Roles and Features Wizard.

  4. Click Installation Type, and then select Role-based or feature-based installation.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Click Server Selection, and then select Select a server from the server pool.

  7. Select the required server and then click Next.

  8. Click Server Roles, and then select Web Server (IIS) in the Roles list.

  9. Click Install to install the role. The Add Roles and Features Wizard box opens.

  10. Click Add Features.

  11. Click Next.

  12. Click Features, and then select HTTP Activation in the Features list. The Add Roles and Features Wizard box opens.

  13. Click Add Features.

  14. Click Next.

  15. Click Role Services and select the following services in the Role services list.

  16. Click Next.

  17. Click Confirmation, and then select Restart the destination server automatically if required.

  18. Click Install.
