Use this workflow to install and configure Smart Licensing Client and the Smart Materials License Webservice.

All installation steps must be performed on the same designated license server. This computer must be on the network and have a name with no spaces.

The software must not be installed on a mounted drive/volume.

Setup IIS web service as described in Configure IIS Settings for Windows Server 2019.

Install all available Windows Server 2016 updates.

Install .Net Framework 4.8.

Install Intergraph Smart Licensing client.

If not yet done, setup a client configuration through the Licensing Portal.

Load the client configuration (cci) -file into the ISL Client, if not yet done during installation.

Install the Smart Materials License Webservice as described in Install the Smart Materials License Webservice.

Configure the license parameters, see Define License Webservice Settings.

Define the access control list, see Create ACL.
