If you do not have Smart Materials Web (formerly BIR) installed on your database, skip this section. You must not follow the instructions in this section.

To upgrade Smart Materials Web to version 2020, you must proceed as follows:

  1. Install Smart Materials Web 2020 (10.0.0) as described in Extract Smart Materials Web Components and Install Smart Materials Web Modules in Apex.

  2. Any custom applications created within the APEX (BIR) must be exported and imported manually. For more information, see Export and Import Smart Materials Business Custom Applications.
