Intergraph highly recommends the usage of the prepared sample scripts and all initialization parameters used in the provided init.ora file %SMAT_Classic_InstallFolder\others\oradata\repo8\scripts\initrepo8.ora.
The repository database is created with password lifetime set to 180 days (this is the default). To avoid any access denial problems after this time, we strongly recommend setting the Password Lifetime parameter to UNLIMITED (see Application Server (Weblogic) not launching).
Create the folder structure by copying files from %SMAT_Classic_InstallFolder\others\oradata\repo8. To keep the folder structure flat, start at the top level (for example, d:\). Make sure that at least 30GB free disk space is available.
All files used to create the database are stored in the scripts directory in this folder structure.
<REPO8> is used in the sample scripts and in the following steps to represent the Oracle SID and can be replaced with any string you want to use, for example, REPDB81. It is recommended not to use more than eight characters for the SID. For consistency's sake, rename the REPO8 folder to match the SID name.
You must edit the following scripts and files to have the directory structure mapped to your installation:
create12c_REPO8.bat
create12c_REPO8.sql
initREPO8.ora
The sreenshots used in this chapter show the folder name and SID name as smat instead of REPO8.
-
Open a Command Prompt window as an administrator and go to the scripts folder (for example "D:\oradata\repo8\scripts").
-
Type create12c_repo8.bat and press ENTER to start the database installation.
-
Type the Oracle home user password.
The password request appears only if the Use Windows Built-in Account option was not selected during the Oracle database software installation.
You can ignore the error message that is displayed.
-
After the installation is completed, check the log files from the database creation process. You can find the log files in %\oradata\REPO8\logs.
You can ignore the errors in the catalog creation log file.
If the following error occurs:
"ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kkqctinvvm(2): Inconsistent state space!], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []"
