Document and Data Management

  • You can now create or update a workflow template and select the Delete Workflows On Completion option if you want to automatically delete completed or abandoned workflow instances from your system. This can help reduce your database size and maintain your systems performance. This setting works asynchronously as a scheduler task across the system regardless of the configuration. Be aware that the intensive database activity could potentially delete a lot of completed or abandoned workflows.

Depending on your business needs, you can choose to set this option on specific workflow templates to safely remove temporary workflow instances from the database. On other workflow templates, you can choose to keep completed or abandoned workflow instances, such as for audit or regulatory purposes. For more information, see, Create a workflow template. WF_DELETE INSTANCES

  • You can now use the Delete Completed Workflows action in the Actions menu to remove any completed workflow instances from the database, including any terminated workflow instances. This can be applied to any workflow template. For more information, see Delete completed workflows. (3853044)

  • The Select files for merge dialog has been enhanced to load files as they are needed. You will see an initial set of files loaded as per the page size settings, and the rest of the files will appear as you scroll down or select Load more. (3774313)

Information Browsing

  • The Snapshot Gallery in the View and Markup window will now be minimized as a default for improved user experience. This will delay the rendering of all the Snapshot Gallery thumbnails until you specifically open it. As a result, you will start interacting with the model more quickly and have a larger area for viewing the model. For more information, see Create a snapshot of a 3D view filter, connection object, or streamed model. (3982099)

Project Collaboration and Work Processes

  • The Graphic View Control (GVC) will now be delivered as the default viewer in SDx. This feature will have no impact on any previous viewer selections. The previous default viewer, GoView, will continue to have a flag if customers prefer that viewer. The GVC provides performance benefits for larger models with enhancements in navigation, lighting, and background effects. Advanced features like better clipping box, 2D Visual Intelligence Reports, and more realistic models are some of the benefits of adopting GVC as the default viewer. For more information, see Enable the Graphic View Control (GVC).(3973568)

A prerequisite to using the GVC is to create a Visualization Data Service (VDS) connection. For more information, see Create a VDS connection.

Other

  • An administrator can now optimize the Rendering Settings to maximize a models viewing performance. The administrator can tailor the Rendering Settings for individual models or specific users, taking into consideration the users’ hardware capabilities. For more information, see Slow performance when loading Hexagon 3D models (3928796)

    SDx_CreateRenderingSettings

  • You can now extract information from multiple configurations (plants or projects) for an object type and its related information in a single file by selecting the Ignore Config checkbox in the Edit Report Definition dialog. You can now quickly review, consolidate, and analyze data such as MOCs, workflow details, and so on from multiple configurations. This saves a lot of time. For more information, see Report configuration and Create a new report. (3769120)

  • Two advanced authentication settings have now been added to the Server Manager for the Web Client site:

    • OAuth ACR Values

    • OAuth Extra Properties

They allow you to request a different authentication assurance when requesting authorization. You must use these settings only to support advanced authorization configuration for SAM, Okta, or third-party OAuth providers. For more information, see Advanced authentication support for Okta and third-party OAuth providers. (3695678)
