    Tell me more

The Web Client uses a 3rd party solution (Brava Enterprise from OpenText) to provide a zero footprint browser-only view and redlining capability. Users trying to view and markup 3rd dgn, gwg, pdf, office or other 3rd party files very occasionally experience a red error message box in the viewer not being able to display a specific file. The 3rd party solution pre-renders the actual file on the server into a web viewable format and stores that rendition inside a rendition cache (folder structure).

Before this improvement, you'd have to be an administrator with direct access to the server to manually find and clean the viewing cache by deleting files and folders.

With this feature, you can directly trigger this cleaning from the Web Client. You can now quickly help yourself in case you encounter a viewing error, instead of contacting system administrator.

    • This cleaning should only be invoked if users experience viewing issues in the Brava Viewer. Viewing files in Hexagon's WebGL viewer is not affected by this.

    • In Server Manager, a new “BravaCacheLocation” setting has been introduced that point to the folder location of the Brava View Cache.

  • You can now change the location for the configuration trace log files using a site setting in Server Manager. For more information, see Set the Trace Log Path. (CR-AM-159432)

  • You can now specify the location of the Brava! Server dlcache folder using the BravaCacheLocation setting in SmartPlant Foundation Server Manager. For more information, see Site Settings node properties. (CR-AM-150416)

  • The search mechanism in the peek search bar has been improved through paging for the following components: Relationship Find, Relationship Filter, Relationship Maintenance, Upload Document, Matrix Recipients, and Matrix Add Column. (CR-AM-156523)

  • You can now update the link properties on the relations using OData. For more information, see Create service calls. (CR-AM-159667)

  • You can now configure the default search filters for each API Entry Point when filtering searches in the Web Client. For more information, see Configure the default search filters. (CR-AM-127674)

  • You can now choose between creating a major or minor revision when revising documents. For more information, see Revise a document. (CR-AM-157352)

  • Microsoft Edge is no longer supported. (CR-AM-159344)

  • The target system query definition in Data Validator Administration is now enhanced to query the document revision object during the export process, when the stage relationship definition is mapped to the version relationship definition in the target system, if either the property or the subsequent relationship mentioned in the query definition is referencing the revision object. For more information, see Target system query definitions. (CR-AM-99461)

  • When you create and save a snapshot in the 3D Model view, a relationship is automatically created between the new snapshot and any new hotspotted item currently selected in the 3D model. (CR-AM-158579)

A snapshot with its stored PNG bitmap file can be quickly opened and viewed on any device. We can now quickly show a tag in a 3D Model context now that we have automatically created a relationship between tags and snapshots.

The new SPFMarkupSnapshotFDWTag relationship definition has been added to the schema. It links ISPFMarkupSnapshot Objects to IFDWTag objects.

  • The Data Capture now creates FDW tags without applying the ENS definition which is configured using the Desktop Client. For more information, see Extract data from a document and Create a new content discovery task (CR-AM-154310)

  • A merged PDF rendition of the change request, including markups, is now created after the Review and adjust scope and Closure approval steps. (CR-AM-153512)

  • When a change request is sent for rework at the Evaluate feasibility, Initial Approval, Final Approval, or Review Proposed Solution step, a new revision of the change request is now created. (CR-AM-154180, CR-AM-156855, CR-AM-158515)

This new feature provides additional transparency for the Management of Change users . With revising the change request, a track record of the change request is created. During the process of the Management of Change and afterwards, it is possible to review the different states and changes of the change request.

This new feature allows accessing the change history in case change request is sent back for rework multiple times during its lifetime. For example, if work was send back because issues were found during review.

  • Markup layers created for a change request or a work package are automatically selected in the Manage Markup Layers page. (CR-AM-156853, CR-AM-156863, CR-AM-158514)
