Smart API Manager (SAM)
Smart API Manager (SAM) is a key component of SDx and provides the security layer over the OData API used by the Web Client. As of Update 63, you must upgrade SAM from version 4 to version 5 as it includes important product fixes and security updates. The upgrade process is manual and mandatory for customers using SAM for their OData API Authentication.
If you are using named user authentication, you will need to update the Named User
Authentication Extension component, which has been updated to work with the latest
version of SAM.
