You must validate the modified map file, ToolMapSchema_CTA.xml, before loading it into the Desktop Client. After it is validated, you can replace the checked out map file with the validated map file.

Check out the ToolMapSchema_CTAVersion file

  1. Click Find > Adapter Documents.

  2. Right-click the ToolMapSchema_CTAVersion document, and click Edit > Check Out.

  3. In the Check Out dialog box, browse to select a location where you want to check out the file, and click OK.

Validate the modified map file

  1. Browse to the location where you have checked out the ToolMapSchema_CTA.xml file, and replace the checked out file with the ToolMapSchema_CTA.xml file.

  2. Right-click the CMF_Ver document, and click Launch Schema Editor.

  3. In the Set Active Configuration dialog box, select the latest schema configuration from the check box, and click OK.

  4. In the successive dialog boxes, click OK or Yes, as applicable.

  5. Click Workflows > Overall Workflows > Tool Schema.

  6. Open Select the updated ToolMapSchema_CTA.xml > Tool Schema > Validate > Display Results.

    Wait until the ToolMapSchema_CTA.xml file is validated.

  7. Click File > Save All Modified Files.

  8. Click File > Exit to close the Schema Editor.

Check in the modified map file

  1. Click Find > Adapter Documents.

  2. Right-click the ToolMapSchema_CTAVersion document, and click Edit > Check In.
