In Smart P&ID, Smart Electrical, and Smart Instrumentation, 3.1 and earlier releases, the Consolidated Data Warehouse (CDW) mappings are delivered for all the tools components by default. In SPO/E Core 3.2, the CDW mappings and configuration are provided as an optional selection. If you upgrade from any older SPO/E Core version to SPO/E Core 3.2, the existing CDW mappings are not automatically deleted during upgrade. However, you can use the SPO/E Core 3.2 CDW delete instructions to remove any unnecessary mappings after the upgrade.

For SmartPlant Foundation 10.0

In SmartPlant Foundation 10.0, the CDW mappings are not delivered with the installation; instead, there is a provision to specifically load the CDW mappings only for the tools you want to use by navigating to Smart Community. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community. This ability to load specific mappings and configuration helps you to control the mappings and reduce any unused mappings in the system. The load files for all the tools are configured when you load the load files from SPOCDWforToolComponents folder related to each tool for an integrated environment. However, you can choose to load the admin and the data load files only for the tools you want to use.

For SPO/E Core 3.2 and later versions

In SPO/E Core 3.2 and later versions, the CDW mappings are not provided out-of-the-box; instead, there is a provision to specifically load the CDW mappings only for the tools you want to use. This ability to load specific mappings and configuration helps you to control the mappings and reduce any unused mappings in the system. The schema load files for all the tools are configured by default when you load the SPO/E Core load files. However, you can choose to load the admin and the data load files only for the tools you want to use.

When you install SPO/E Core 3.2, the SPOCDWforToolComponents folder is created. It contains the admin and the data CDW load files to support published objects and properties related to each tool in an integrated environment.
