If you are upgrading from an earlier version than Smart P&ID Web API 3.0, you must uninstall any previous installation of Smart P&ID Web API, delete the installation folder (..\Smart WebAPI SPID), and unregister Smart P&ID Web API on Hexagon's Smart Application Manager (SAM) authentication server. It is
recommended that you keep the details of the registration because you will need to
register Smart P&ID Web API again on the authentication server after installing the new version.
From Smart P&ID Web API Version 3.0.1, patch upgrades will no longer require uninstallation of the
previous version of the software and the configuration files will persist in the upgrade
version. You can also install the current version of Smart P&ID Web API as a full installation on a clean machine.
