This procedure explains how to enable Smart P&ID Web API to be used in Power BI (PBI) for creating powerful reports and charts.

  1. Connect PBI to your Web API as described in the following Smart API Connector for Power BI Help topics:

    1. Read the topic Before you begin to ensure that you meet all prerequisites for configuration.

      The Client ID value described in this topic is used in step 3.

    2. Follow the connection procedure as described in the topic Connect to a Smart API.

  2. In the SPID Web API installation folder, locate and open the web.config file.

  3. Go to the 'flatMetadata' setting and replace the zeros with the Client ID value shown below to set the allowedClients attribute:
