Before you can view your plant metadata, you must follow this procedure to configure the Smart P&ID Web API server to connect to your site. You can set up configurations for more than one site as shown in the example used in this procedure.

  1. In the path where you installed the Smart P&ID Web API server, navigate to the ConfigurationTool folder and right-click Intergraph.Configuration.Utility.exe.

  2. On the shortcut menu, click Run as administrator.

  3. In the Configuration Utility, click the SPID Module icon.

  4. In the left pane of the SPID Module - Configuration Utility window where the initial text Enter Site Name appears, type a name for your site (in this example, PID Site 2) and click Add.

The name is copied to the Site Name field in the right pane:

The site name you choose does not have to match the name of the actual site you will connect to via the SmartPlantV4.ini file.

  5. Beside the Ini path box, click the ellipsis and in the Open dialog box, navigate to the folder with the SmartPlantV4.ini file for the site you want to connect to.

If you want to ignore data for a specified plant when sending OData requests, type the name of a plant in the Plant box and click Add. Do this for each plant for which you want the data to be ignored.

Each plant name must exactly match the name of a real plant in the site.

A list of excluded plants appears in the Exclude Plants field.

  6. If your plants are configured for projects and you want to ignore data for a project when sending OData requests, type the name of the project in the Project box and click Add. Do this for each project for which you want the data to be ignored.

A list of excluded projects appears in the Exclude Projects field.

  7. Click Finish to save your changes and exit the Smart Configuration Utility or click Exit to exit without saving any changes.
