Before beginning an installation of the Smart P&ID Web API software, verify that your servers meet the requirements in this section.
Smart P&ID Web API can be installed on its own server without Intergraph Smart® P&ID being installed but does require a Smart P&ID .ini file 2018 HF1 or higher to connect to the database. However, Report functionality and Patch requests are not available with this configuration.
To use Smart P&ID Web API to its fullest potential, a full installation of Smart P&ID 2018 HF1 or higher should be on the same server as Smart P&ID Web API and configured for use with it.
We recommend using an SSD drive for the Smart P&ID server.
