When running Smart Materials MobileScan from an Android or iOS device, you must specify server information the first time you sign in.
-
On the Sign in screen, tap the highlighted area at the bottom of the screen.
-
Type or scan the API URL for your environment.
You can also scan a barcode instead of typing the API URL. To use the API URL barcode, sign in to Barcode Manager, select API URL from the Barcode Manager drop down list, and then print the barcode. Scan the barcode whenever you want to enter the API URL.
-
Tap Save Api URL.
-
When running the application from an Android or iOS device, the API URL needs to be set just once. You can connect to a different database by changing the API URL.
-
When the mobile does not have an internet connection or the MobileScan application is unable to connect to the RestAPI server, the Sync screen displays an error message, Unable to connect to Internet/Server.
-
When you tap Sign In, the MobileScan application server verifies the MobileScan client version. If the client and the application server versions do not match, an Un-supported version; Upgrade MobileScan client error is displayed.
