Smart Materials Mobile Scan Version
5.1

Scan any barcode and MobileScan identifies whether the barcode is a package or an item. It also identifies if the barcode is related to a purchase order, a release note, or a package and creates a MRR by PO or MRR by RN. If the barcode is not associated with either a PO, a RN, or a package, then the software creates a direct MRR for the item.

  • Smart receive supports Queryable Disciplines from Smart Materials. With the assignment of queryable disciplines, you can now view the data of these disciplines in addition to the data from the signed in discipline.

  • To create a MRR against a PO or a RN, the PO or the RN must satisfy the project default ZC_ALL_PO settings. For more information about ZC_ALL_PO, see Smart Materials Help.

  • You must have the MOBILE_SMARTRECEIVE privilege assigned to access Smart receive tile in MobileScan.

MRR numbering rule for Smart Receive

MobileScan application follows numbering rule for displaying MRR's based on the assigned user or the signed in user:

  1. Check if the signed in user has a numbering rule.

If yes, the application uses the user numbering rule for naming the new MRR's.

User numbering rule is a combination of user, role, discipline, and nls that the user selects to sign in.

  2. If the check fails, MobileScan uses the default numbering rule.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Smart Receive.

  2. Type the ste code.

Site Code is displayed only when Bin location is enabled.

  3. Type or select the warehouse.

If bin location is enabled, the application sorts the warehouses based on the site code.

  4. Type or select the location.

The software displays the barcode details.

For MobileScan to recognize QR code for packages, the QR code must use a specific format. For more information on the QR code format, see CIP M_PCK_QRCODE_CUSTOM.
