Smart Materials Barcode Manager and MobileScan come with predefined prompts with the standard installation. You can also define prompts and messages to translate into other languages.

  • You must use Smart Materials Web > Administration to define the translations for glossaries, prompts, and system messages.

  • You must use Smart Materials Web > BIR Administration > Glossary - Language Mapping for one to one mapping of glossary and language.

  • Some prompts are created as messages due to the length and character limit in MobileScan and Barcode Manager. You must also translate these prompts/messages during the translation.

  • In case the translated text is lengthy, you would observe misalignment of user interface. This is an expected behavior.
